About being creative:
I guess I mentioned a second video from the farm. I'll post it while realizing folks are probably more interested in seeing my other art. I started another journal page, just the plan, and did a tiny clip from that tonight. I'll be trying to combine the art with the other clips in the future.
About this video - I would recommend having your speakers turned to loudest position. It is mainly about nature, it's beauty - something I love.

I've also been enjoying some other videos in the past few days. Here's an Enya one I've been watching.

January at the farm:
The last time we were at the farm, just the past few days, I decided to record some of my walk so I might share with you the beautiful surroundings. On Thursday the wind was very brisk. It was also a cloudy day. I will share the following day's walk once I make the second video.

Just a reminder to click on the little speaker on bottom left side of "wondering" if the music is interfering.

I will hopefully have some other art to show you soon. I have been designing a number of new stamps. I also did some carving while we were at the farm.

Till then...

I realized I have not posted for nearly two weeks so decided to take a brief moment to tell you that though I have been doing huge amounts of work in the area of self discovery even over the last two weeks I am doing quite fine. I am trying to get to organizing my space a bit and at times it feels like it is slow going as molasses. I will be taking opportunities to still create. I need to get a couple of things out of the way first - doctor appointment, huge grocery shop, registering daughter for a new activity and other typical life things such as laundry - which I hate, in case you did not realize.
I have been posting a few pictures yet to flickr. This is one that drew attention, also the one at the top of my blog right now.

peaceful moment

I am also posting a picture of Winnie. I might tell you more about her another day. I'm not certain yet if something I should share. I believe this young lady has had a huge influence on my life.

Winnie

Until I have time to post more I'll give you this quotation from Inspiration Peak:

May peace fill all the empty spaces around you
And in you, may contentment answer all your wishes.

May comfort be yours, warm and soft like a sigh.
And may the coming year show you that every day
is really a first day, a new year.

Let abundance be your constant companion,
so that you have much to share.

May mirth be near you always,
like a lamp shining brightly
on the many paths you travel.

May you be true love.

Dancing purples
Copycat: The weekly prompt this week for Inspire me Thursday is copycat. While cruising around on flickr this morning I happened upon the photos of Ms. Ladyred. This is my first feeble attempt to do something remotely along similiar lines. The original was taken at the farm, creekside, last weekend.

Captured: We're at the farm for a few days. The weather has turned cruddy. Besides being very windy it also became very cold yesterday. A bit North of Humblodt there was actually snow yesterday. Saskatchewan weather!
But as we approached the farm yesterday the skies seemed to clear. This morning, just before lunch, I took the van to get some pictures which I was going to use for printing and trying to do sketches from. As I got closer to the birdhouse a bird flew out, much to my surprise. She was quite gray with only tiny bit of blue. I was uncertain. I caught the flash of blue to my right. Of course. The Momma was apprehensive as I drew near to the nest. Now Poppa was nervous as well. I was surprised he stayed on the post as long as he did for me to snap. I was quite pleased that I even caught him in flight. I am typically too unsteady to get decent photos without the tripod but these turned out all right.

Last year I'd been for a walk here and was trying to snap the bluebirds. It was earlier in Spring and they kept flying on as I tried to capture. My vicinity today so close to the babies made the difference. I'm happy - angels in flight.

Surprising sunset: We were at the farm for the weekend. They'd been predicting rain for Saturday night and Sunday. I was busy Saturday evening with preparing a couple of books for altering when I glanced out the window and KNEW I had to go outside with camera in hand. Cat helped me quickly prepare. There were a couple of things I needed to finish - cover for the egg carton lid full of glue for those pages, sponge soppy with glue to hastily apply. I needed to find my rubber boots because of nasty beasties in the tall dry grass I needed to walk through. And then ~

Journal pages and painting fabric:
No, I never did get to the antique mall. Sigh. We had to buy lots of groceries and an 8B pencil for Cat (so she said - I can't see the art teacher asking ALL the students to get such a soft, expensive pencil - oh well - not about to get into a fight, I mean disagreement, with her about that - at least I got to use 40% off coupon), and Greg had to get a wrench to cut in half to fix a machine in a close place. I bought some ribbon though. I am excited to do some weaving and embroidery. I'll show you when I can. I got mostly spring colours and colours for flowers. YES!

There is much I would like to say and show. I've been getting lots done, especially fabric painting BUT, the internet is not hi -speed, one of the computers is in my brothers office, warm-up room (temperature wise, not dance or sport warmups), and Cat likes to hog her Dad's lap-top, just beacuase it's a laptop. AND I can't remember how to move the pictures from the camera to this computer AND the scanner is quite, ummm, starnge.

I'm frustrated. Can you tell?

I am having a blast painting fabric though. I'll tell you more another day, returning home tomorrow. I've also started some journal pages and turning an old book into altered. The "hope" journal page is not quite finished. The "dreams - energy" page I am wishing I'd not used the black for the words. Whoops - learning.

Later - more words, maybe some photos.

There are two previous posts with more of the Valentine's postcards. Wonderful that at least one arrived for Valentine's Day.

Hopefully back to your blogs for comments in the next few days. Angels be with you.

Billy:
We are at the farm for a few days, have been since Christmas Eve day. There is so much I want to tell you. There is also much I want to do and NOT do. And so, you must be patient with me.

One of the advantages of having snow is that we can do cross country skiing. The weather has been fabulous for it. The dogs love to come along. The first day, Billy got frustrated and we had to bring him home and have him stay in the house. He was sinking in the snow too much and didn't know to walk in the trail. I think he was just too excited. The second time he came along. He hates to miss any fun. The usage of the trails by the dogs is not really beneficial. The trails get kind of wrecked but the dogs don't always stay on them. Some places the snow is not so deep and they do their own investigating.

Now I need to think about that cheesecake I was planning for supper. And I think I need to make new ski trails. We had some snow and wind day before yesterday. I suspect I'll be doing a new path. It's kind of hard work but someone has to do it. After I make it I can go flying on it the next time.

Till later,
Wendy,
With huge hugs to all. Wishing you angels all about and the time to pause to feel their presence.
