I seek:
Last Friday I started to write a dark piece. Last night as the clouds were rolling in, to hide the moon, I decided to choose to look to the light. Here is my choice.

I seek
when the tears are erupting
at the surface
ready to spill
I seek to feel laughter
instead

when the pain is crying
in my face
my jaws
my neck
my shoulders
I seek to feel my body
flowing
as hot chocolate sauce
molten sapphires glowing
instead

when the rage is building
constructing,
I seek to feel warm light
instead

when my thoughts find helpless
grasping at straws
I seek to feel courage
with hope entwined
instead

when sadness surrounds me
smothers
I seek to feel beauty
dancing in the light
instead

when loneliness leaves me
abandoned
I seek to feel the angels
fluttering
within
and about me
instead

HOPE:The last few days have been difficult as we struggle with our daughter having side effects of the medication she was started with for seizures. For four days she has been hardly able to keep any food down, has had very little appetite, and has been very drowsy. Today she has been more alert but she became very frustrated this evening with the discomfort in her stomach and the whole idea that it is caused by the medication. This is apparently very common when individuals are started on this medication.

Cat has been trying to think happy thoughts. She was having difficulty finding them tonight. She is finally resting.

Hope is what has carried us through. See "HOPE" at windyangelsandyou.

Light of the sun - November 17, 2006 - A day of many photos.

New light was supposed to be a photo with the moon. You can barely see it. I love the picture anyway. It's from our backyard. The streets were too icy to take much time to walk back to an open space.

I took many photos on way to Saskatoon and back. These are some of the images on way back from Saskatoon. I'll share more of the photos in upcoming days.

I'm chomping at the bit to get back to real art. This digital stuff seems more like pretend.

I spoke with my Dad. All went well. He was acting quite typically when I spoke with him. My brother told me the nurses in recovery wanted Dad to stay. He was handing out many compliments. Ah, my Dad - apparently being a "cheeky" old elephant.
