Swaps and right brains: Yipes. They don't fit together. I had signed up for the vintage Christmas stocking swap hosted by the wonderful MaryAnn. I'm two weeks past the date for sending and I'mstill not quite ready. Hopefully everything will be ready tomorrow. My very right brained self is having an extremely difficult time completing anything for the swap.

Until I've any pictures to show I'll share this quotation from Inspiration Peak which I love:

When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at a college - that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, 'You mean they forget?'

Oh I can only imagine what gorgeous creation you come up with for the swap. Don't you just love MaryAnn. You know I met her on the cape at the Bazaar held in Hyannis. She is as lovely as her work. I'll say a prayer that your angels whisper lovely inspiration. Blessings, Karen

I'm way behind on things, too. How does Christmas always manage to sneak up on me??

That quote is just great. Kids say such wonderful things, don't they?

hi wendy!

pls. don't worry...i know that you have been in contact with your partner...you are like my sis, looney, she is so busy with her kids & other commitments but in the end, when it is all said in done, she sends the most thoughtful & delightful packages to her partners...have you seen her flickr pix...how does she make everything look so nice?!

anyway, it's the slackers & no shows that get me going, lol!
